Is this a finished product or a prototype?
Iron Fleet is being developed as a real, functional product, not just a concept. Our campaign is built around a working product vision that includes physical assembly, smartphone control, app-based duels, and leaderboard features.
Do I need programming knowledge?
No. Iron Fleet is designed so users can assemble, connect, drive, and compete without needing to code. The focus is on mechanical understanding, electronics, assembly, and tactical play.
What can the tank do?
Depending on the final reward configuration, Iron Fleet includes smartphone control, connected play through the official app, real-time duels, and leaderboard-based competition. The project positioning also includes camera functionality and battle modes as part of the product vision.
Is this safe?
The firing system uses BB bullets. Protective glasses are required.
What is the recommended age?
Iron Fleet is aimed at STEM-minded families, tech hobbyists, and makers, with the core family audience defined around children aged 8 to 16. For younger builders, adult guidance is strongly recommended, especially because the product is positioned as a real DIY engineering experience rather than a simple toy.
How does the app work?
The Iron Fleet app is designed as the digital control and competition hub for the product. It allows users to connect to their tank through a smartphone, control movement, join head-to-head duels, climb public leaderboards, and stay connected with the wider Iron Fleet community. The app is not a side feature. It is a core part of the full Iron Fleet experience.
What exactly is included in each reward?
Each reward tier will clearly show everything included on the campaign page. At the core, Iron Fleet is a premium DIY kit, and the project structure already includes a "What's in the Box?" section covering the main components, guide materials, and upgrades where relevant. Every reward will make it clear what is included, what is optional, and what belongs to add-ons. Please note that batteries are not included with the tank due to shipping restrictions. Backers will need to purchase 3 x 18650 Li-ion batteries separately.

Will shipping costs be included in my pledge?
Shipping costs will be calculated during the campaign based on the final destination of your order. Because Iron Fleet will ship to different regions, the exact shipping cost depends on where your reward is being sent. Once the campaign ends, backers will be able to confirm their delivery details and see the final shipping amount before completing that step.
